    • Are Your Priorities in Sync with Your Peers?

    • What are the issues, concerns and trends shaping financial institutions’ ongoing outlook? CSI annually polls banking executives from across the country asking 10 questions aimed at determining what strategies and issues are on their minds. This year’s survey captured feedback from 236 bankers nationwide, all sharing their perspective on which issues, technologies and strategies would affect the financial industry the most during 2018. Two top analysts from the Aite Group, David Albertazzi, a senior analyst focusing on retail banking channels and core banking technologies, and Shirley Inscoe, a senior analyst covering fraud, data security and compliance issues, reviewed the responses and weighed bankers’ thoughts against the pulse of the industry. Each provided valuable knowledge surrounding major banking initiatives.
    • Our guest for this topic is Steve Powless, Chairman and CEO of CSI. In his role, Steve provides strategic vision and leadership for the company. He sets the company’s focus on technology innovation and ensures that it is delivering value to both customers and shareholders. During his more than 30-year career with CSI, he has held such leadership positions as executive vice president of corporate development, chief operating officer and president; he’s also been a member of the CSI Board of Directors since 1992. Steve was named CEO in 1999, only the second person in the company’s history to hold the position. He then was elected board chairman in 2017. In addition to his leadership at CSI, Steve has served the fintech industry in various leadership roles, including being past president and director of the Association for Financial Technology (AFT).
